Our brief: Bhandal Dental have a significant number of dental practices across the West Midlands. The Coronavirus epidemic meant that reception areas in all their practices needed to be fitted with acrylic protection screens.
The practice manager contacted Zero Point 8 with an urgent request to manufacture the screens, which are essential to protect both patients and staff.
Bhandals were very keen to put the right measures in place quickly, but still needed to run their practices at the same time, so it was also important the work was undertaken with the minimum of disruption.
What we did: Our team (mindful of social distancing) immediately attended ten sites and measured, quoted, fabricated the acrylic, manufactured the screens and had them fitted against a tight deadline. The whole process – design, manufacture and installation – was handled from our Netherton factory.
It proved an excellent way for Zero Point 8 to demonstrate how we could repurpose our operations to meet a specific demand, while doing our bit to help slow the spread of Covid-19.
The result: Working to bespoke designs for every single practice site, we were able to ensure each of them had their screens fitted within seven days. And our customer was delighted. Practice manager Kerry O’Leary said: “The work was carried out to a high standard and we would definitely recommend to others.”
